Tele-Mindfulness for Dementia Caregivers

Tele-mindfulness is an online mindfulness meditation group that has shown a positive impact on managing stress and coping with challenging emotions, for those caring for a family member or friend living with dementia.

Connect with other caregivers across Ontario in an interactive video-conference group led by a clinical expert from the Reitman Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital, Sinai Health.

Details about the Tele-Mindfulness Group

 

  • 8 week mindfulness meditation program for family caregivers
  • Caregivers learn and practice different meditation skills each session
  • Caregivers learn how to more effectively relate to and cope with internal and external stressors
  • Live video-teleconferencing sessions  
  • Participants join the group using their own computer and internet
  • Participants will need to purchase “The Mindful Way Workbook”
